Saddle up the horses and join the KNIGHTS' BRIGADE!
It seems that in recent years the world is experiencing more and greater crisis, calamities, pandemics, and upheavals.
ie. Banking Crisis, Oklahoma city bombings, Gulf War, Iraq War, Afghanistan War, Great Recession, 9-11, Active Shooters, SARS, Influenza, Ebola, and, now, COVID-19.
The three of us care about MLHS and want it to continue to be a respected (and well-attended) school in our community. That is why we are serving on the Board of Directors. We see that MLHS faces many obstacles that can be overcome. Our/your high school has weathered many storms since it began in 1983. We are in our 38th academic year in the midst of dealing with COVID-19. One thing is flagrantly clear—God continues to bless our/your high school. He blesses MLHS with students to teach. We have 14 freshman (3 from Lakefield) and three upper class transfers. He continues to bless MLHS through the amazing outpouring of financial support from generous people. The OH! What a KNIGHT! Dinner Auction, the “Play It Again” Golf Benefit and the Pork Loin Dinner all held in June were very successful.
The price of teaching Jesus Christ in everything is priceless—and expensive. Tuition doesn’t even cover one-half of what it really costs to operate MLHS. When you factor in the $90,000 in tuition aid that is awarded to qualifying families this year, the deficit between income and expenses gets even bigger. That is why we turn to the community to help bridge the gap. Support from the extended MLHS family keeps this ministry competitive, viable, and strong. Please help us continue to teach teens about the One Who is Certain in these uncertain times and ensure that MLHS is here for kids long into the future.
In these uncertain times the MLHS Ministry faces many challenges. The devil seeks to destroy by using every means possible. This enemy does not want us to carryout our Mission Statement.
Please prayerfully reflect on how God has blessed you and how you can help MLHS. We are asking you to become a member of the KNIGHT’S Brigade.
1. Pray about your decision.
2. Decide what your best gift should be.
3. Select the giving date and level you prefer as outlined in the brochure.
4. You can mail the completed enlistment form to the MLHS office or go online to www.martinlutherhs.com and click on the “Give Now” button. Enter the amount of your monthly gift and follow the steps to set up your EFT.
The faithful, monthly gifts of the KNIGHT’S BRIGADE will provide stable, regular nourishment to the MLHS Ministry. They will affect the lives of teenagers and help families. Please help MLHS realize our Vision.
Thank you!
Soli Deo Gloria!
Sincerely,
Garrett Schock, 2012 Alum Stephanie Senne, 2011 Alum Jason Meinert, 1995 Alum

Calling all Doers
Calling all Doers of the Word! James 1:22 states, “Prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” God has united all of us together as family and as members of His Church. In His divine wisdom, He has blessed each one of us differently for the purpose of serving one another – 1 Peter 4:10. It is in the action of serving (active faith) that our “doing” is demonstrated. In order to be a “Doer,” one must be doing according to his/her various blessings. The Bible lists a number of specific talents/gifts/blessings, but it is far from being all-inclusive. While there are significant talents/gifts/blessings that people share in common, gifts are as varied as there are people. No one is or has been the same. This fact reflects the incredible creativity of our divine Creator. In order to maximize these blessings, we must work to unify under the Great Commission.
Martin Luther High School looks to meet the Commission by reaching out to the demographic of teenagers. This outreach, like all the others, has specific needs that need to be met, not the least of which is paying dedicated, commissioned ministers who daily reach teenagers with the Gospel message in the guise of academics. Please do not misunderstand; academics are not compromised in the process. In fact, academics are complimented and accentuated with the Truth. Academics apart from the Truth are compromised. We need committed, dedicated, and gifted people to assist us. We need financial assistance. We need spiritual support through prayer. We need encouragement in word and deed in our daily ministerial efforts. We need Doers! We need Doers who are gifted and concerned with the ministry of reaching out to teenagers in Martin County with the Word of God in a sustained and deliberate educational way.
If God is moving you to Do so, or Do more, please consider becoming a member of our Knights Brigade. i look forward to the blessings that will follow the efforts of authentic Doers. God bless your all!
Come Lord Jesus, Amen!
