Becky (Breitbarth) Rogness (MLHS 2005) and husband Rev. Noah welcomed Miriam Reagan into their family in October 2022. She has four siblings. They reside in Alexandria, Va. Becky's article "Embracing Life" was published in the January 2023 issue of the Lutheran Witness.
January 2023: Dr Jon Rusert (MLHS 2011) received his BS with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2015 for the University of MN, Duluth. Then he received his Masters of Science for Computer Science in 2017. In 2022 he received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Iowa. His professional research includes: - Paper accepted and published at Privacy Enhancing Technology symposium (PETs) 2019, presented research in Stockholm, Sweden -Three papers accepted and published at Association of Computational Linguistics (ACL) 2022, presented research in Dublin, Ireland - One paper accepted and published at North American ACL (NAACL) 2022, presented research in Seattle, WA - Dr Rusert has accepted a visiting Professor position at Purdue Fort Wayne in the Computer Science Department (Fall 2022)
December 2022: Dr. Drew Gerdes (’00) continues to serve as Early Childhood Principal at Concordia International School in Shanghai, China, where he and his family have lived for the past 7 years. He is in Shanghai with his wife (Valerie) and two children (Oliver – 5 years old, and Charlotte – 2 years old). In June 2023, they will repatriate back to the United States. Drew has accepted a Call to serve in the Education Department at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, and will begin his role here in August 2023.

Becky (Breitbarth '08) and Noah Rogness are proud to announce the birth of their fourth child, Gabriel Christian Rogness, born July 27, 2020 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Becky continues to run a small communications business and Noah was installed in September as Associate Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Alexandria, VA.
