Tuition and Tuition Aid

Because MLHS teaches God’s Word, it receives minimal government funding.
In order to maintain the quality education provided at MLHS, tuition is charged.
The tuition charged does not meet the actual expenses to educate each child. Congregational support, donations, fundraisers and 3rd source income provide the additional income to fully fund the MLHS Ministry.
Martin Luther High School has a robust tuition assistance program to help offset the cost of tuition for families.
Cost should never prevent a student from receiving the benefit of a Christian high school education.
Students who are members of these Full Member Association Congregations receive a tuition discount because their churches provide strong monthly membership support.
Those churches are:
Immanuel Lutheran, Fairmont
Salem Lutheran, Madelia
St. James Lutheran, Northrop
St. John’s Lutheran, South Branch
St. John’s Lutheran, Willow Creek
St. Paul Lutheran, Fairmont
St. Paul’s Lutheran, Truman
St. Paul’s Lutheran, Wilbert
Trinity Lutheran, Fieldon
Trinity Lutheran, Trimont

1. Many churches provide scholarships for their students to attend MLHS. Check with the pastor of your congregation to find out more.
2. Each year over $90,000 in tuition aid is given out to 30% of our students.
Families may apply for tuition assistance through by requesting an application from the office after April 1st. Applications must be completed by May 1st.
Donations, grants, MLHS Student Tuition Aid Endowment Fund income and fund-raisers provide the funds needed every year to provide the valuable help to families. The annual income from the MLHS Student Tuition Aid Endowment Fund also provides student tuition aid for students. The endowment principle is invested with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Foundation and interest is distributed annually.
3. Students are also encouraged to apply for the Virginia and Marty Krause Scholarship which is a separate application.
4. Discounts are also available for multiple students from the same family.
5. All families new to MLHS will receive a $1,000 tuition discount for the first year.
