Transportation
Students travel to MLHS from a 65 mile radius and 8 different schools districts. Students drive, ride-share or ride the Fairmont or Truman public school bus.
Transportation reimbursement is available from some school districts other than Truman, GHEC or Fairmont. Contact the school office for more details. Transportation reimbursement contracts are in effect with the St James and Jackson County Central school districts. MLHS will document the number of days students who live within their districts attend MLHS by June 1st and those districts will pay MLHS based on a set amount. MLHS will, in turn, reimburse those families.
In the past students have come from Amboy, Blue Earth, Ceylon, Fairmont, Hanska, Jackson, Lake Crystal, Lakefield, Madelia, Mapleton, Northrop, St. James, Truman, Vernon Center, Welcome, Winnebago, Truman, and Estherville and Milford, Iowa.
Weekday housing is available for students who live further away.
For residents of Watonwan County transportation is available by Take Me There Public Transportation.
MN Para Transit also offers transportation to MLHS for residents outside of Martin County. They are located in Truman, MN
