WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING:
The Bennett Family says. " Mary graduated last year (spring 2025), and Elizabeth is in 11th grade. Benjamin is a future student in two years.
We chose to send our children to Martin Luther High School because we value Christian Education and wanted our children to have the best possible education there is in Martin County. Class sizes are small, and students are known by name. Teachers are able to give more individual time to each student, they truly care about the well being of each child, and they go over and above what is expected to help students be successful.
When students graduate, they are well prepared for whatever path they may go down, whether it is the workforce, trade school, or college. Our daughter Mary has commented many times how thankful she is that she was able to attend Martin Luther High because they prepared her for college. She sees many classmates struggling, where she feels the transition to college was smooth due to the amazing work of the teachers/staff at Martin Luther High School. Another important fact is that you are not a number but a beloved Child of God at Martin Luther High School. You are known by name and where teachers/staff truly care about the individual. Students still talk to their teachers/staff even after they leave high school. The teachers are still mentors even after students have graduated.
What we would tell other parents is "How can you afford not to send your child to Martin Luther High School?" Students are given every opportunity to thrive and be successful. Students have most of the opportunities that the public schools offer here at Martin Luther High School. If you want to be part of something great, and part of a family, then have your child join in at Martin Luther High School."
Pastor John and Kerrie Bennett
*Editor’s note: Mary and Elizabeth attended St Paul’s Lutheran School, Truman through grade 8.

The Nestegard Family says, "Chloe is in grade 11, Lilly in grade 10 and Leona is grade 4.
Our children had attended Immanuel in Lakefield and we wanted to continue on through high school with a Christian education.
The AMAZING support from the community providing multiple opportunities throughout the school year for activities (such as symphony, Christian movie events, escape room) that the entire school participates in really makes the MLHS extra-special for students. Another thing that sets MLHS apart from a regular education is the daily study of God's word and application of that to daily life outside of school.
We encourage parents who are deciding where to send their student to consider MLHS because the education is top notch and there ae so many opportunities for other extracurricular activities, service projects, and other events. It is a great place--bring your kids for a visit!"

The Rathman Family says, " Ava is a Senior and Blake is a Freshman. Brecken is a future student in three years.
We chose Martin Luther High School because we value the importance of a strong Christian education and the opportunity for our kids to grow in faith every single day. In today’s world, having God’s Word at the center of their education is truly a blessing.
With smaller class sizes, Ava and Blake receive personal attention from teachers who not only care about their academics but also about their hearts and faith. We see the difference it makes — in their confidence, their friendships, and their relationship with Christ.
For us, sending Ava and Blake to Martin Luther High School isn’t just about academics — it’s about building a foundation of faith, character, and purpose that will guide them throughout their lives.
Reflecting on Ava’s four years at MLHS, we couldn’t be more thankful for the education and values she’s received here. Recently, Ava scored above average on both her ACCUPLACER and TEAS college exams — an incredible accomplishment for a high school student taking college-level tests.
We truly believe that Martin Luther’s Christ-centered environment, dedicated teachers, and smaller class sizes have given Ava the confidence and academic foundation to excel in her chosen career in the medical field. Beyond academics, she’s learned the importance of faith, integrity, and hard work — lessons that will carry her far beyond graduation.
Martin Luther High School has prepared Ava not only for college, but for
life — academically, spiritually, and personally.
We feel MLHS is set apart from other schools. Choosing Martin Luther means choosing faith, purpose, and personal growth. Smaller classes and strengthening their faith is what makes the difference.
At Martin Luther, faith is woven into everything — the lessons, the community, and the relationships. Our kids are surrounded by teachers who care deeply, pray with them, and encourage them to live out their faith every day. The smaller class sizes mean they are seen, known, and supported in ways that truly make a difference.
In a world that can often pull young people in so many directions, we are thankful that Ava and Blake are grounded in God’s Word daily. Martin Luther High School is helping them build a foundation of faith, confidence, and purpose that will carry them through life.
If you’re looking for a place where your child can grow academically and spiritually — where faith and education work hand in hand — we encourage you to consider Martin Luther High School. It has been such a blessing for our family."

*Editor’s note: Ava and Blake attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in St. James and live by Godahl which is 45 minutes from MLHS.
